One of my favorite activities in Colorado is climbing "fourteeners." In Colorado, there are 54 peaks that are over 14,000 feet tall, and climbing the fourteeners has become a popular sport. So far I have climbed 39 of the 54 fourteeners, and have climbed a couple them more than once. Grays Peak is 14,270 feet tall, and since it is close to Denver it is a popular climb.

Even though I had climbed Grays Peak previously, my business partner Michele had never climbed a fourteener and wanted to give one a try. Since Grays Peak is close and relatively easy, we decided that Grays Peak would be a good choice for her first fourteener. In my experience, there are no easy fourteeners - some are just less difficult than others!
