Dragging the disabled "Ford Lobo 2000" off the road

Ford "Wolf" 2000

I get an early start the next morning and after a couple of hours of driving I notice something in the middle of the road up ahead. A truck overloaded with sand is sitting in the middle of the road. The left rear wheel is broken completely off. The man and his family look hopeless with no way to get the truck off the road, let alone fix it. With the words "Ford Lobo 2000" spray-painted on the side, the man obviously has a sense of humor since this beat up Ford is definitely not a Lobo (Wolf)!

Oops, I goofed. I was actually rescuing a Dodge. Thanks to MURRAY317@aol.com for correcting me: HEY JUST A QUICK NOTE FROM A FORD MAN THAT PICTURE OF THAT TRUCK IN MEXICO IS A DODGE. GIVE US FORD GUYS A BREAK WE HAVE ENOUGH BAD PRESS FROM FIRESTONE.

I stop, hook a chain to the disabled truck and pull him off the road. Even in his desperate situation, he is smiling and happy. About that time, a friend shows up to help him fix the truck so I continue on my way.

From that point on I decide that whenever I see a motorist in need - and in Baja, disabled vehicles are common - I will stop to help. Hopefully, if I have any problems, I will have some goodwill banked and someone will stop to help me!
