| What a difference a mile in elevation makes -- at around 5,000 foot elevation the snow was gone and we were enjoying smooth roads and beautiful fall foliage. |

As we drop off of the Mesa, the weather clears revealing spectacular golden aspens. The snow turns to rain and begins washing away the mud from the Mesa. Shifting out of 4WD we enjoy a breathtaking display of fall colored foliage dusted with powdered sugar snow. |
