The scenic extravaganza reaches a crescendo as we summit McClure Pass and descend the switchbacks to our camp at Bogan Flats along the Crystal River. It's warmer here and the wind is minimal due to the protection of the closely surrounding mountains, but there is still snow on the ground. |
