When exploring with an EarthRoamer Xpedition Vehicle – outside is what it’s all about! While EarthRoamer XVs provide comfortable and capable interiors, it’s the “EarthRoamer back yard” that we like to brag about. Rather than being packed into an RV park a mere inches from a newfound nosey neighbor, with an EarthRoamer XV-LT the entire world becomes your back yard. Whether you are looking for peace and solitude by a lake in the mountains, on the dunes in the desert, or on your own private seaside beach, an EarthRoamer Xpedition Vehicle will take you there.
Optional twelve or sixteen (XV-LT Stretch models only) foot electrically operated awnings are available to provide shelter from the sun and rain. These awning extend approximately eight feet and contain support legs in the leading edge of the awning.
Optional high output LED lights are available on the sides and the rear of the camper to provide area lighting when outside, or security lighting while inside.
A 12 volt DC power outlet, 110 AC power outlet and compressed air chuck (ideal for bike tires and inflatable rafts) are provided below the rear bumper. Located within the lower locker compartment are external hot and cold shower controls ideal for washing off boots, pets and gear, or for showering at the beach.
To make sure that you can carry all of the gear you need to be comfortable in camp, EarthRoamer XV-LTs provide an extensive amount of outside accessible enclosed storage on the rear of the vehicle as well as structural mounting points for an extra storage box/tray, bicycle rack, a motorcycle lift or fuel cans. A built-in receiver hitch is provided and enables towing a boat, car hauler, Jeep or trailer up to 12,500 pounds.
Total exterior storage space is approximately 24 cubic feet in two separate lockable storage compartments. The back of the camper houses a 12 cubic foot outside accessible storage space for long or bulky items such as skis, fishing rods, tents, folding chairs, barbecue grills, tool boxes and inflatable kayaks. This space is approximately 84 inches wide by 20 inches tall by 12 inches deep. The door hinges at the bottom and opens to form a work surface. Above the long storage space is an upper locker with another 12 cubic feet of available storage space. This space also houses the spare tire changer, jack and all of the tools required to change a flat tire. These storage lockers have electric locks tied into the Ford central locking system and can be locked/unlocked with the key fob or from within the cab with the lock switches.
Need more storage space? Four receiver hitches on the back of the vehicle allow the use of multiple storage devices. An optional removable aluminum storage box/tray that slides into the two outboard rear receivers can provide another 12.5 cubic feet of space. Longer, lightweight items like surfboards, kayaks and wind surfers can be carried on optional roof racks. The spare tire is a hard-mount point for heavy or bulky items such as fuel cans a storage box or bicycles. The Class IV receiver hitch can also accommodate bike or motorcycle carriers. The high torque rating of the diesel engine and the Class IV receiver hitch will enable you to pull a boat, ATV, horse or camping trailer weighing up to 10,000 pounds (12,500 pounds optional).
